Design Tips from Kaye: A Color for Every Mood
Before I show clients photos of the latest color trends, my response is typically not what they expected. I’ll ask them, “What colors make you happy?” That’s because, above everything else, the colors we choose to be surrounded by should be colors that make us happy. I then question my clients to help them determine what type of feeling or mood they’d like to create. Color can have a great influence on our emotions, tell a story, and impact the way we experience a space.
The Power of Habit
Recently, I started reading books again. Good old-fashioned, borrowed, rented, and purchased paperback books. I pulled out The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg. Article by: Macy Graham
We’ve all been there, putting other people’s needs before our own, and feeling burnt out, depleted, and ready to throw in the towel. Especially as the holiday season approaches, it’s so easy to put our health and wellness to the wasteside, start making excuses about how there’s no time to take care of ourselves, yet plenty of time to go to parties, eat and drink mindlessly, and in the end get sick and wonder “why me?!”
